A teacher has appeared in court accused of sexually assaulting a schoolboy. Dori Myers, 29, allegedly performed a sex act on the 14-year-old pupil. Police were called after the boy reportedly told a classmate, who went to bosses at the New York school with the allegation.
Myers, a social studies teacher at The New School for Leadership and the Arts in Kingsbridge, Bronx, was arrested on Friday night.
The married teacher was charged with criminal sexual act in the second degree.
The alleged assault took place in Upper Manhattan on November 1, according to a criminal complaint.
She appeared in court on Saturday morning to deny all the charges, the New York Post reported.
Myers was dressed in a red Marist College sweatshirt and scowled at reporters when she arrived at court.
Prosecutors allege she performed oral sex on the teenager and claim a fellow teacher witnessed Myers massaging the victim.
Judge Laura Drager allowed her to leave custody while she awaits trial.
